Blog Post 11 BBG Assembling A Multi-Genre Project

In this chapter we learned more about project 3 in detail. Specifically, we learned about the different ways to connect our three genre compositions around a single topic. This ending project could be anything including; a presentation, a story, photo slide show, annotated map, interviews and an Authors statement. You're project will include a variety of these in it to wrap up your portfolio, and this chapter explains the possible routes you can go about doing so. The chapter also goes over the steps to assembling a multi-genre project; Introducing your project and providing context, sequence your genre pieces, title your project, Create and Author's or Artists statement, and Package your project creatively. The biggest take away for me was the last step in the sense that this is supposed to be creative. The whole point of this is to reiterate what you learned through your inquiry of genres in community into a three genre campaign. So, why not be creative with it? Reading this chapter really sparked a few ideas that I may have for project three. Having this guide to follow will really help me throughout these final couple weeks, finishing up my portfolio.
